We’ve rounded up all the latest and best skis to help satisfy your need for things vertical, from racers to cruisers and everyone in between, plus we have some great new women’s and junior skis, too.

With all these choices, finding the right ski can be difficult. Stop in and let Snow Bird's expert staff help you find your perfect ski.

Year in Skis – 2007
Snow Bird carries the latest from Atomic, Burton, Marker, Salomon, Tecnica, Tyrolia and Volkl. One of the big stories this year is that there are more highly-specialized skis than ever. From super fats with minimal sidecut made for those devoted to the deep fluff to jib-ilicious twin tips with ultra soft tips and tails for skiers who never want to leave the parks and pipes, these performance skis are built for committed die-hards who just must have the ideal ski for their preferred style.

That’s not to say you won’t find plenty of great new all-mountain performers. Generous sidecuts and modest waist widths on many of this year’s new skis provide the versatility to go anywhere on the mountain, front side or back side, hard pack or deep crud.

Integrated ski/binding systems continue to be a dominant trend for all skying styles and ability levels. If you’re a speed freak, you'll find ski/binding packages that deliver excellent edge holding and high-speed stability. Cruisers will enjoy this season’s slightly fatter skis with integrated bindings that offer excellent power transfer and edge grip for carving up the groomers. And the ladies will find skis that pack the latest technology and superior performance into a package designed specifically for their physiques.

To take full advantage of today's technology, you'll also need to think about where you spend most of your time on the mountain. When you leave the lift, do you make a beeline for the bumps, the groomers, or that undiscovered, untracked place somewhere in between? The answer to this question, along with snow conditions will go a long way towards helping you find the right ski.

Stop by and let us help you pick out the right ski for your next winter adventure.

Ski Boots

Snow Bird carries the latest from Atomic, Burton, Marker, Salomon, Tecnica, Tyrolia and Volkl. With the right fit, your ski boots are your best friend on the mountain. Properly fitted, with the right flex for your ability level, your ski boots can actually make you a better skier. Not only that, but a long day on the slopes is a lot more fun when you are perfectly snug in your boots, keeping you in control and your feet warm and comfortable.

There are many factors that go into determining which boot is right for you. Your height, weight and foot shape need to be considered. Your ability level will also help determine which model is best for suited you – more experienced skiers will want a stiffer boot that offers more control and better power transmission, while less experienced skiers might consider a more forgiving boot with a softer flex and more emphasis on comfort and convenience.

It’s been a long time coming, but this season women’s boots are really coming into their own. Manufacturer’s are offering more boots, many with top-of-the-line technology and performance characteristics, designed specifically for the anatomy of women’s calves and feet.

At Snow Bird, our expert bootfitters will take the time to determine the best type of boots for you, and then make recommendations based on your needs. More than 40 years of experience have taught us the importance of properly-fitting equipment, so you can be sure that you will get the best fit possible at Snow Bird.

Ski Bindings

Snow Bird carries the latest from Atomic, Burton, Marker, Salomon, Tecnica, Tyrolia and Volkl. Most skis today come with integrated bindings, which makes getting a great ski-binding system incredibly easy. Since the two components are designed to work together, they make the most of their performance characteristics. These are great set-ups for most skiers.

In fact, today's interfaces generally have features designed with a particular goal in mind. Some systems excel at filtering vibration and smoothing out your ride, while others are focused more on boosting energy, enhancing edge-grip, or creating rounder arcs in your turns.

But this year we are also seeing more skis, especially specialized models, that come flat so that skiers can choose a binding that works best for them. Bindings can have a dramatic effect on performance, and we carry a variety of specialized bindings to help aggressive skiers get the most of their gear.

All of these choices make the ski-to-boot connection more critical than ever. The expert staff at Snow Bird knows skiing, and we can guide you through the process of finding a binding that fits your style. Stop in today to experience the products, brands, service, selection, and advice that our customers have come to expect.
